Welcome to the Truly Terrible Orchestra!
We’re a group of amateur musicians based around the Inverness area, and we firmly believe in the triumph of enthusiasm over talent!! Many of the “Terribles” enjoyed playing music earlier in life and have decided to dust off their instruments & get playing again.
The Orchestra was founded in 2006 by Anni Cole-Hamilton and Jon Hall. Our musical director is Jo Hazell who conducts the group with great skill, humour and endless patience!
***TTO Play Day – 26th Oct 2019***
Whether you are already part of a music group or just fancy having a go at playing again, you’re invited to come along and play with like-minded amateur musicians at The Truly Terrible Orchestra’s Play Day. Everyone is welcome – talent is optional but sense of humour is essential!
It is taking place on Saturday 26th October 2019 from 10am – 4pm at the Culduthel Christian Centre, Inverness. The rehearsal programme for the day has some cracking pieces for us to get our teeth into….Khachaturian’s Adagio from Spartacus (the popular theme from The Onedin Line), a George Gershwin medley, Tchaikovsky’s Waltz from the opera Eugene Onegin and, for a light-hearted finish to the day, La Bamba (bring your maracas!!)
Click here to book your place. This is a free event – tea, coffee & home-baking provided but bring your own lunch and a music stand! If anyone wants further information, just message us through our Facebook page or our contact page.
